Port-A-Pit® Bar-B-Que provides catering for many occasions. We gained our reputation by providing full service food and beverage catering at corporate picnics and outings, hospital cook-outs, as well as fund-raisers. Our patented cooking system can consistently prepare meals for 100 people to 10,000 people without sacrificing quality! This also places Port-A-Pit in a unique position to provide quick response disaster catering throughout the state of Florida.

The "Port-A-Pit®" system is unique! There is not another cooker like it in the world. Each rack of product slowly revolves around beds of charcoal while getting completely submerged in our "Secret BBQ Marinade".

Management:

Scott Skornschek - Owner / President

Scott has had a long, successful career in the catering business. A native of Tampa, Florida, he founded Port-A-Pit® Barbecue in 1978. He produced (in-house) one of the first Hospitality Villages at Super Bowl XVIII. His company planned and executed food service for over 25,000 guests for the Silver Anniversary of Martin Marietta Aerospace in Orlando in 1982. Some of his projects have been: the Hall of Fame Bowl, the Outback Bowl, the Florida Citrus Bowl, GTE Suncoast Classic, the Honda Classic, the Nissan World Challenge, Florida Grand Prix, the Tampa Bay Buccaneers and many Super Bowls.

Ronnie Chisholm - Vice President

Ronnie has worked with Scott for over 23 years. No catering management problem exists that he hasn't successfully solved! His expertise in logistics and operations gives him a big advantage in managing the catering for all of our events.
